There’s a road in Ecuador that is called la ruta de las cascadas. It follows the curves of the mountains and volcanos in Banos. Waterfalls line the route, which is where the name comes from. Some can be seen from the road and some you must hike to. All of them are worth stopping for.
Along the way, there are contraptions that carry people across the river to the other side where more waterfalls await. This rope bridge was on the other end of one of those contraptions. It went right over one of the strongest tallest waterfalls I have seen. The water howled and thundered beneath my feet and I quickened my step across the bouncing bridge.
